Taking place in Preston House in Abbeyleix from August 30 until September 1, the retreat is fully residential, limited to 10 people, and writers of all levels are welcome.
The cost is €420 per person sharing and €510 for single occupancy: this includes a two-night stay, musical and poetry performances, a creative writing workshop facilitated by poet Ben MacCaoilte, gourmet buffet evening meals, and lunch in Abbeyleix’s Bramley restaurant prepared by Michelin- starred chef Sam Moody (formerly of the five-star Ballyfin Demesne).
