After more than a decade in business, an acclaimed Salt Lake City butcher shop is going out of business — but not before regulars can order their holiday meat offerings. Beltex Meats, at 511 E. 900 South, near Liberty Park, announced on its Instagram account ( @beltexmeats ) that it will close after Dec.
23, when the last of the shop’s Christmas orders are fulfilled. “Our goal was simple: To show people just how incredible locally raised meats in Utah can be,” read the Instagram post , which featured a photo of Beltex Meats’ owner and butcher, Phillip Grubisa. The butcher shop announced on Oct. 3, 2024, that it would be closing after the 2024 holiday season. “Thanks to an immense amount of hard work and the amazing support we’ve received over the years, we’ve been able to accomplish incredible things,” the post continued.
