Friday, October 18, 2024 The world-renowned Italian Navy training ship, Amerigo Vespucci, is making its historic first visit to Singapore, docking at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre from October 24 to 28, 2024. This is the 25th stop on the vessel’s global tour, which highlights Italian maritime excellence and the nation’s rich cultural heritage. The Amerigo Vespucci, often hailed as “the most beautiful ship in the world,” will be open to the public during its stay in Singapore.

Visitors can explore not only the historic ship but also the “Villaggio Italia,” an immersive exhibition celebrating Italian art, music, food, technology, and scientific achievements. The Villaggio Italia offers a unique experience for attendees to engage with Italian culture while showcasing the country’s contributions to global industries such as design, sustainability, and scientific research. The visit will be inaugurated with an opening ceremony on October 24, attended by dignitaries from both Italy and Singapore.
