Monday, September 16, 2024 Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) proudly announced the induction of its co-founders, Dr. Min Kao and the late Gary Burrell , into the prestigious National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) . This recognition, coinciding with Garmin’s 35th anniversary, took place at the 60th annual enshrinement ceremony held on September 14 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.

The NAHF honors aviation pioneers whose contributions have had a significant impact on the field of aviation. Cliff Pemble , Garmin’s President and CEO, expressed, “Thirty-five years ago, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao founded Garmin with a vision to create superior navigation and communication products that would enhance and even save lives.



Their induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame is a fitting tribute to their pioneering work and the foundation they laid for Garmin’s highly acclaimed products.” Dr. Kao continues to serve as Garmin’s Executive Chairman of the Board, while Gary Burrell’s legacy of leadership and dedication to innovation remains integral to the company’s success today.
