What's your next flex when you’re a dedicated foodie who’s eaten at every Michelin-starred restaurant? Having the Michelin dining experience come to you, of course. Thanks to French fine diner Saint Pierre and sushi restaurant Shoukouwa , both with two stars to their name, you can experience a four-star experience in the comforts of home. On Aug 22, both restaurants under the Food Inc.

umbrella debuted 4 Stars At Home , a fully customisable modern kaiseki experience for Singapore’s private residences. “With 4 Stars at Home, we have identified an untapped demand for refined Japanese cuisine that can be executed flawlessly in a private home setting,” said Saint Pierre’s chef-owner Emmanuel Stroobant. “By leveraging the strengths of Nishida and my years of expertise in Japanese and French cuisine respectively, we have expanded the possibilities of what a luxury home dining experience can be to bring ease, flexibility and a new dimension of Michelin-starred culinary artistry and service to our guests.

” If, however, you’re expecting Stroobant or Nishida at your dinner party, you’ll be disappointed. Both chefs are firmly ensconced in their restaurants but have trained a team to replicate the two-star restaurant experience in private homes. Typically, the team consults with clients before the event, during which the host’s kitchen amenities are sized up.

Clients can choose from a 10-course menu featuring premium ingredients used in the restaurants’ kitchens or draft their own custom menu. Cuisine of this ilk calls for ingredients at the peak of their prime, which explains why the 4 Stars team requires a minimum seven days’ notice before an event. The current summer line-up includes dishes like impossibly sweet Amela tomatoes served with tenshi ebi (angel prawns) on a delicate dashi vinaigrette, and poached Brittany blue lobster in a red miso and perilla-spiked broth.

Similarly, the logistics can be as simple as allowing the 4 Stars team to bring the crockery and cutlery or instructing them on using the client’s personal collection. Prices start from S$480 per person, with a minimum of four guests..
