CANCUN — With attendees adorned with Marriott’s signature white with a touch of red, the grand opening party for Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort was a lavish affair with plenty of Marriott’s world-renowned hospitality. Travelweek was on hand to join in the recent festivities and check out the property firsthand. Marriott Cancun’s grand opening followed the resort’s soft reopening last February.

The property closed for a year in March 2023 for renovations. The transformed Marriott Cancun is the first all-inclusive Marriott-branded hotel in the world. As of fall 2024 the resort had already hosted some 600 room nights for Canadian travellers.

“We’re enthusiastic about expanding our reach within the Canadian market and are actively working on strategies to increase these numbers. To achieve this, we’re focusing our marketing campaigns specifically aimed towards Canadian travellers, highlighting the unique features and benefits of our resort,” said Glaucia Canil, Director of Sales & Marketing for Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort, and JW Marriott Cancun. FOR FAMILIES, COUPLES, GROUPS AND MORE Cancun’s hard-partying reputation may be well-earned, but that’s not the scene at Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort.

It’s on a quiet stretch of beach, with a prime location in the heart of the Hotel Zone that’s just minutes away from shopping malls and only a 15-minute drive from the airport. Cancun’s famous nightclubs are easy to get to too,.
