Alan Jackson is a world-renowned country star. The country music icon was born in Newnan, Georgia , on October 17, 1958. Jackson was exposed to different types of music early on, including gospel music and country music.

He found himself playing for a band called Dixie Steel after graduating from high school, while also working as a construction worker. The country star is one of the most popular musicians in the world. However, when Jackson was 27, he and his wife moved to Nashville, Tennessee , the capital of country music, with the hopes of starting a music career.

Jackson's wife Denise was working as a flight attendant when she encountered the famous country singer Glen Campbell and asked for advice. Campbell gave Denise his business card, which helped jumpstart Jackson's career. Jackson eventually signed with Arista Records because of Campbell.

By 1989, Jackson had begun releasing music. Several of his early songs, such as Here in the Real World, Someday, Dallas, and Love's Got a Hold on You , made it into the Top 40 on Hot Country Songs. Jackson became a household name by the early 2000s, and he remained focused on making traditional country music whereas the majority of the community was making pop country.

This includes the following three albums, which each reached number one on the charts: Drive, What I Do, and Good Time. Jackson's most recent album was Where Have You Gone , released in May 2021. He also announced his farewell tour in March 2022.
