According to aviation analytics company Cirium , airlines in the United States will operate a total of 78,099 flights to airports across California in August 2024.

This comes as no surprise because LAX has been the largest and busiest international airport on the West Coast of the United States. In fact, LAX airport accommodated 75 million passengers in 2023, making it the world’s eighth busiest airport.

According to Cirium data, the largest US-based carriers, including American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, will each operate more than 270 flights from their major operating hubs to LAX airport. This month, the most frequently served route to California is between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), operated by American Airlines . Delta Air Lines operates the second most frequently served route to California. The Atlanta-based airline has 371 scheduled operations between its primary operating base at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) and Los Angeles (LAX). According to Cirium, United Airlines operates 334 flights between ORD and SFO, making it the eighth most frequently served route to California in August 2024.
