The 70th National Film Awards were unveiled today (August 16) in New Delhi by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Celebrating the cinematic brilliance of 2022, the awards recognise the year's most outstanding films and their creators. Rishab Shetty shines at the National Film Awards.

The actor-director clinched the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in the blockbuster , which also bagged the Best Popular Film honour. A shared Best Actress award went to Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh. Malayalam film swept three awards, including Best Film, while Sooraj R Barjatya won Best Director for .
