An Upstate food-and-beverage hub is one step closer to being duplicated near the coast. Four Oaks Property Group , the firm behind Greenville's Gather GVL , received approval from the Town of Mount Pleasant 's Commercial Design Review Board on Oct. 30 to move forward with a 5.

5-acre park anchored by a restaurant and brewery . Gather MTP will be developed within the mostly residential Midtown development between Rifle Range Road and Hungry Neck Boulevard. Mack Cross , co-owner of Four Oaks Property Group with his father, Doug Cross , plans to further include a medical center , smaller restaurants and shops that would stretch from Hungry Neck to Hancock Street in a figure-eight design.

"The kids can be kids, the adults can have a good time as well with a wide variety of food and beverages and a live music program." Gather MTP would be anchored by Crooked Hammock, a Delaware-based beach-vibe restaurant and brewery that has another location in Myrtle Beach.

Crooked Hammock , a beach-style brewery and restaurant out of Delaware, would be Gather MTP's anchor tenant. The town also approved design plans for the restaurant to move forward with development. The East Cooper location will be Crooked's fifth establishment, including an existing outpost in Myrtle Beach .
