Week 7 of the high school football season features 10 games involving Sentinel-area teams. Here are some storylines to watch as the action unfolds Friday. The Birds and Stone Cumberland Valley welcomes Bishop McDevitt for a Mid-Penn Commonwealth joust.

The Crusaders (5-1, 4-1 Commonwealth) bring a potent passing game to Chapman Field, where they won the 2022 Class 4A state title. Four-year starter Stone Saunders is the heart of the McDevitt offense. The Kentucky commit set Pennsylvania's career passing touchdown record in Friday's 28-21 win over Altoona.



He has 22 touchdowns this season to just one interception. At the other end of the field, the Eagles (3-3, 3-2) have held their own against opponents' passing this season. They've allowed four passing touchdowns while intercepting opposing quarterbacks six times.

Senior Ke'Aune Green has recorded an interception in three straight games. The Eagles look to continue the pattern against the McDevitt pass attack. Stingy Herd vs.

Trojans Carlisle's 42-0 loss at Harrisburg Saturday dropped the Thundering Herd to 0-6 (0-5 Commonwealth) this season and extended their losing streak to 15 games dating back to last season. Despite the losing streak, Carlisle has had recent success against Chambersburg, which is scheduled to invade Ken Millen Stadium Friday. The Trojans (2-4, 1-4) outlasted the Herd 3-0 in a defensive struggle last season.

While Chambersburg prevailed, it was the fourth consecutive meeting that saw the Herd limit the Tro.
