Primark is selling a new trench coat that looks just like a much more expensive designer version. The retailer is famed for selling quality budget clothing, accessories and even homeware - and now there might be a new favourite product for shoppers. Primark's Double-Breasted Belted Mac looks almost identical to a coat by designer brand AllSaints- and there's a huge price difference.
The Primark mac comes in at £34, while AllSaints Kikki Trench Coat is currently available online for £279. The two are very similar in design, featuring a double-breasted style, with a tie waist, buttoned sleeves and even a matching layer on the chest. However, the designer coat is longer than the Primark version.
The Primark product description reads: "Having stood the test of time, a classic mac is always worth investing in. Our double-breasted belted mac can help you max out your style quota even in dreary weather. "It’s constructed with notched lapels, long sleeves with buttoned sleeve straps, double-breasted button fastenings and a self-tie belt to cinch the waist.
The mid-length helps keep you covered for protection against unfortunate weather and a single rear vent enables comfortable wear. "The beauty of this coat is its ability to be thrown with an assortment of outfits; layer over tracksuit sets, jeans and tee combos, and even sophisticated office attire. The AllSaints product is described as a "lightweight fluid double breasted trench coat with topstitched self-tie belt, cuff ties, front welt pockets and curved back storm flap.
" While the designer coat is priced at £279, the Primark version retails at £34. This means shoppers could save around £245 by opting for the high street alternative. The Primark coat is also available in khaki and can be ordered for click and collect.
