will look to broaden the electric SUV range in the second half of next year, the brand's local director says. or signup to continue reading Speaking with at the Australian launch drive of the Enyaq Coupe, Skoda's first electric vehicle in Australia, director Michael Irmer said the more practical SUV body style and more trim levels could be on the cards for a local launch in about 12 months time. "There will be more variants, but in the latter part of next year [is] where we might see more," Mr Irmer said.

"We looked at all the different options. I think what we've done here is very common in the premium space and I think it's a great way to launch a vehicle to start on the upper end of the spectrum and then start offering more variants as [time] goes." Prior to the pricing and specification announcement for the launch range, we could see the more luxury-focused L&K version of the Enyaq Coupe from launch but it appears Skoda Australia's high ratio of Sportline and RS models has led to a focus on the sportier trim levels.



The wagon-bodied Enyaq is notably absent from the launch range also, with Skoda Australia focusing on the still practical but style-focused Enyaq Coupe off the bat. Standard range 52kWh battery pack and non-RS dual-motor 85x variants also form part of the broader global catalogue, but haven't been confirmed for Australia. anticipates the Enyaq Coupe L&K as well as the standard Enyaq Sportline, L&K and RS versions would likely be high on the wishlist, but it's unclear whether all of the above will make the trip Down Under in the second half of 2025.

The 2025 Skoda Enyaq Coupe range is available to order now ahead of deliveries commencing in December, with prices starting from $69,990 for the Sportline and $83,990 for the RS. There's also a pseudo mid-spec grade in the form of the Sportline with Ultimate Pack. Sportline versions are powered by a 210kW/545Nm electric motor powering the rear axle, while the RS adds a second e-motor on the front axle for total system outputs of 250kW and 134Nm + 545Nm.
