Nissan has launched the all new 2025 model Kicks in the North American market and this is the vehicle that Nissan should have brought to India. Nissan has launched the new generation 2025 Kicks in the North American market and we don’t feel anything but jealous. Nissan India did launch the Kicks in the Indian market but there were quite a lot of misses from their side when launching the product initially.

The world got the facelifted Kicks while it was killed off completely in the Indian market. Here is everything the new Kicks offers and we hope that Nissan brings the Kicks with all the bells and whistles in the Indian market as well instead of giving us low volume products like the recently launched X-Trail. 2025 Nissan Kicks The 2025 Nissan Kicks has an all new design.

There is a more boxy exterior and there are new LED DRLs which are separated into slats. Its larger in terms of its footprint and has received a glow up overall. There are classic style 3-spoke wheels which we are a fan of and the rear has been updated as well which looks quite funky overall.

In terms of the interior, it has been cleaned up and Nissan has taken a minimalist approach but not deleted all the physical buttons which we are a fan of. The dashboard is dominated by two screens which also includes the digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen.

Other changes include trim changes here and there and nothing much else. In terms of the drivetrain, there is a new 2.0L NA petrol engine which has been upgraded from the 1.

6L NA petrol engine. In India, the Kicks was offered with either a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.

5L diesel and a 1.3L turbo petrol which was launched later in the lifecycle of the vehicle. New for 2025 is an AWD option in the Kicks which increases its appeal.

It also gets a dedicated Snow Mode. In the USA, the Kicks has a starting price of $23,295 (around Rs 19.49 lakh) which is quite on the higher side for the Indian market but it also does get a lot of features as standard.

Nissan Kicks In India The Nissan Kicks was not a bad car at all when it was launched in India but it was a little too late offering too less. The turbo-petrol only option introduced later put the nail in the coffin for the Kicks and there were barely any sold. While the world received a full facelift of the car with new features, Nissan India saw the old Kicks crumble itself in the Indian market instead of updating it.

Nissan has been quite inactive in terms of product placement, they recently launched the X-Trail which is a CBU unit and costs more than some luxury crossovers even. The Kicks with all the updates could have been a healthy rival to the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Tata Curvv..
