The GMC Yukon is one of the most popular full size SUVs in the American market. It shares its platform with the Cadillac Escalade and the Chevrolet Tahoe and slots right in between with the Cadillac being even more premium while the Chevy slotting right below the Yukon. The 2025 update gives the Yukon a new face, some new features and a variant reshuffle as well which is a great thing.

Here is what you need to know. Starting from the exterior, there is an all new front fascia, the grille has grown larger and GMC has also changed the headlight design. There are new wheel designs for all the trims and the AT4 gets 20-inch wheels while the Denali Trim offers 24-inch wheels.

The biggest changes have taken place on the inside. The cabin is dominated by a vertically stacked central screen which houses all the functions in the vehicle. It measures 16.

8-inches in size and now houses functions like the climate control and the all the car functions eliminating all the buttons. One can also option an 8-inch touchscreen at the rear to handle all the climate controls. The large screen at the front has been made standard.

Other standard features include some driver assistant systems like auto emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring. Supercruise and night vision with thermal imaging still remains optional. There has been a variant shuffle as well.

The base trim now called the Elevation and the previous SLE and SLT trims have been discontinued. There is a new AT4 Ultimate Trim which pairs all the nice features with the off road focused models as well and the top of the line Denali trim still stays as the most luxurious of the bunch. In terms of the drivetrain, there hasn’t been many changes to the petrol engines.

They still remain the 5.3L ECOTEC V8 engine which produces 355 bhp and the 6.2L V8 engine as well which produces 420 bhp.

The diesel is the newest generation of the Duramax engines and is a 3.0L inline six diesel which now produces 305 bhp and 671 Nm of torque. One can now pair the diesel with the AT4 trims as well which was not possible in earlier models and is a welcome change.

Official pricing for the 2025 Yukon has not been announced yet but we expect it to be similar to the ongoing model of the car. The current generation of the GMC Yukon has a starting price of $58,200 (around Rs 48.80 lakh).
