The electric version of the Genesis GV70 has received a facelift and enhancements under the skin, expected to bring greater driving range to the SUV. Revealed in the US, the Genesis Electrified GV70 adopts revised looks based on the facelift to the petrol-powered GV70 earlier this year, and it’ll arrive a few months after its sibling in the first half of 2025. Cosmetic changes include a new wheel design, and revised front and rear bumpers – the latter of which has moved the indicators up from the bumper and integrated them with the tail lights.

There has been one major change made under the skin of the Electrified GV70, with its 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery upgraded to a larger 84kWh unit. A similar change was recently made to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 , which in the case of the former increased its driving range by approximately 10 per cent.
Though Genesis is yet to release a driving range figure for the updated Electrified GV70, a 10 per cent increase to its existing 454km claim would mean the facelifted model could go almost 500km on a single charge. While it now benefits from a larger battery, there’s no change to its dual-motor drivetrain, which continues to produce 360kW of power and 700Nm of torque in Boost Mode (only in a 10-second burst), while it normally develops 320kW and 605N.
