Nissan is rolling out a limited edition of its Navara ute, bringing with it premium rubber and stealthy styling tweaks. The Black Edition, based on the ST Dual Cab 4×4 automatic, is arriving in September with 400 examples earmarked for Australia. It adds blacked-out exterior trim elements and alloy wheels, the latter of which are wrapped in Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tyres.

A new Nissan soft tonneau cover is standard or, for an extra $500, buyers can opt for an Australian-made and engineered electric rolling cover and rear tailgate central locking, designed by Victorian aftermarket brand HSP. HSP already produces an array of aftermarket accessories for the Navara, with all of its products manufactured in Victoria. With the optional rolling cover and tailgate upgrades selected, the Black Edition offers $9700 worth of extra goodies, or an increase of $5500 over the standard ST Dual Cab 4×4 auto.

The Nissan Navara Black Edition, like the ST it’s based on, is powered by a twin-turbo 2.3-litre diesel four-cylinder engine producing 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. That engine is mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission, with a part-time four-wheel drive system with low-range and an electronically locking rear differential included as standard.

The ST Dual Cab 4×4 automatic offers the following equipment as standard: The Black Edition adds: Nissan Genuine Accessories available for the Black Edition include: The optional HSP accessories include: HSP accessories allow owners to retract or cover the tub using the Navara’s key fob or via the HSP mobile app. Available colours include: Black Edition models will retain all standard safety equipment from the ST, which includes: Click on the images for the full gallery MORE: Everything Nissan Navara.
