Vadodara: About 200 startups from across the country will be pitching for capital from over 100 investors during the two-day TieCon event beginning Oct 4. "This event organized by TiE Vadodara will give a platform to the startups to pitch their ideas and get investment from the venture capitalists," said Nilesh Shukla, founder-director, TiE Vadodara. The start-ups that succeed in getting funding will also get a helping hand in their business and networking from TiE.

"Some 30 speakers, including industrialists, innovative thinkers, industry experts and top businessmen, will be attending the event. The attendees will have a direct engagement with over 40 fund houses," added Maulik Bhansali, president, TiE Vadodara. Among others, Srikanth Bolla, CEO of Bollant Industries, will be attending the event.



Bharat Bafna, chairman, TiE Vadodara, said, "The Match-a-Thon during the event will facilitate collaboration between 110 startups and 50 industries. The startup expo will feature over 40 booths." The idea behind TiE is to promote start-ups and provide them with a conducive environment to grow.
