Two Hong Kong workers were rescued after they got stuck in mid-air for about two hours as they cleaned a luxury block of flats regarded as one of the thinnest in the world. The pair were on cleaning duty on Thursday at Highcliff, Stubbs Road, Happy Valley, when their working platform broke down, which left them stranded at the 60th floor. Security guards at the building contacted emergency services at around 7pm.

Firefighters managed to rescue the pair and brought them inside the building at about 9pm. Highcliff is on the south slope of Happy Valley. Construction of the 75-storey building started in 2000 and was completed in 2003.

It is the tallest residential-only building on Hong Kong Island and among the thinnest buildings in the world..
