Pune: The Samarth police on Wednesday detained two minor boys on the charge of allegedly raping a 13-year-old school girl on April 15. The police have booked two other boys and a woman for allegedly forcing the girl to consume alcohol and video-recording the crime. The girl's father lodged a complaint with the Samarth police on Tuesday, following which an FIR related to kidnapping and rape under IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered.

The boys, aged 16 and 17 years, were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, which ordered their detention to an observation home. A police officer said though the crime had occurred in April, the girl narrated the ordeal to her parents on Aug 20. "It was only when the girl's mother found her behaviour unusual and prodded her that she opened up abut the incident," senior inspector Umesh Gite of Samarth police said.

"The girl is a Std VIII student. She told the police that she had become friends with the four boys through the woman. The woman, a common friend to all of them, had taken the girl in an autorickshaw to the house of one of the suspects, who is currently on the run, and lured her to drink alcohol.

The girl has accused two minor boys of allegedly raping her at two different places in the city. She has accused another suspect, who is also on the run, of filming the assault.".
