Kendall Jenner – along with the likes of her older sister Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid and Rihanna – has long been an avid champion of vintage fashion, amassing an impressive collection of rare designer pieces over the years. As with many of her celebrity peers, her obsession began with Jean Paul Gaultier , with the model seen sporting a number of the French designer’s most collectable pieces from the late ’90s and early Noughties. Since then, Jenner has branched out further with her vintage buys, with Prada, Stella McCartney-era Chloé and Comme des Garçons all making an appearance in her wardrobe.

More recently, she has leaned towards more structured tailoring from the likes of John Galliano, Alaïa and Mugler, particularly when she’s pounding the pavements during Paris Fashion Week (see this corseted navy Galliano dress from spring/summer 1999, which she wore just this week). On the red carpet, the model has gravitated towards pieces of fashion history. Case in point: at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party , she opted for a gold version of the Jean Paul Gaultier spring/summer 2008 couture gown, featuring mermaid scales, that was first worn by Marion Cotillard when she won her Best Actress Oscar back in 2008.

Meanwhile, at this year’s Met Gala , Jenner sported a never-worn-before black sequin gown from Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter 1999 collection for Givenchy. Below, see 18 of Kendall’s best vintage looks to date..
