Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh govt has engaged nearly 10,000 sanitation workers to ensure a clean Maha Kumbh 2025 . The workers intensified their efforts to keep the entire Kumbh area pristine as the fair approaches. To prioritised the welfare and dignity of these workers, the govt provides them with accommodation, food, and free education for their children through the ‘Swachh Kumbh' fund.

Akanksga Rana, special officer for the Maha Kumbh Mela, highlighted the crucial role of sanitation workers in achieving a ‘Swachh Mahakumbh'. "Following CM Yogi's instructions, the govt is prioritising their safety and well-being. The administration established a dedicated sanitation colony for them in the Mela area, where they have free access to basic amenities, offering them both comfort and security," she said.

The administration made special arrangements for the education of sanitation workers' children at the Mahakumbh. The govt has opened a primary school and an Anganwadi center in every sector. These facilities will operate temporarily during the Maha Kumbh.
