At least 10 shops were burnt down in a fire broke out in a market under Konabari Police Station in Gazipur on Thursday. The fire started around 6:30 am at Bimile of Konabari. Konabari Modern Fire Service War House Inspector Saiful Islam said that the fire broke out in the market near the Dhaka-Tangail highway in that area and spread to the nearby shops quickly.
On information, three units of fire service personnel reached the spot. After about an hour of efforts, the fire was extinguished. Seven tailor shops and three other shops were gutted in the fire.
