But, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) itself has revealed the truth. Can be used in all transactions According to RBI, ₹10 coins (10 Rupee Coin) of various sizes and designs minted under the authority of the Government of India and issued by the Reserve Bank of India are legal tender. As legal tender, they can be used in all transactions.
Questions arise due to different design The work of minting coins is done in the mint of the Government of India and from time to time economic, social and cultural values are depicted on all the coins. Actually, there are different beliefs among the people, due to which people shy away from taking 10 Rupee Coin. Some believe that the coin with the symbol of ₹ is real, while some believe that only the coin with 10 lines is real.
RBI itself has told the truth about this RBI has cleared the confusion on this issue many times before. Central Bank has put a note on its website for this, which mentions 14 types of designs. There is also an IVRS toll free number, which gives information related to 10 rupee coin.
RBI says that all types of coins are fine and people should not refuse to accept them. Legal action can also be taken if people refuse to accept 10 rupee coin. Information will be available on toll free number 14440 To check the authenticity of the coins in circulation, the Reserve Bank has issued a toll free number 14440.
As soon as you call on this number, the call will be disconnected. Then you will immediately receive a call from the same number, in which complete information about the 10 rupee coins will be given through IVR. The Reserve Bank says that there are 14 types of coins of 10 rupees in circulation in the country.
It is mandatory for everyone to accept them. In case of doubt, you can clear your doubt by dialing the toll free number.
