CENTENNIAL, Colo. — One person was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing at Centennial Airport on Saturday. South Metro Fire Rescue said the twin-prop plane had just taken off from the airport when the pilot reported an engine failure.

The pilot then returned to the airport for an emergency landing near Runway 35L. There were two people on the plane, and one of them was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Update: The aircraft had just departed Centennial Airport, reported an engine failure and returned for an emergency landing.
