Look out behind you, Brad! Brad Guzan and Atlanta United have conceded one of the most bizarre, and frankly humiliating goals in the MLS Cup Playoffs this evening in their second showdown with Inter Miami. Atlanta came into the night needing an unlikely win against Lionel Messi and his teammates to stay alive in the playoffs, and they were off to a good start in the opening 35 minutes. While they hadn't yet found their way ahead, the Five Stripes created a load of chances, and dealt with Inter Miami's star-studded attack well.
But their hard work was undone in the dying minutes of the first-half in disastrous fashion. Attempting to kick the ball long, Atlanta United keeper Brad Guzan was seemingly put off by a Miami player sneaking up behind him, and inexplicably gave up the ball to allow the visitors score in the empty goal. Miami have the opener and it was bizarre.
