What did you miss? Dame Mary Berry once scrawled on Paul Hollywood 's luxury car with a permanent marker. The pair worked together when they were both judges on Great British Bake Off from 2010 until 2016, when Berry left as the series moved from the BBC to rival Channel 4. And during a special episode of The One Show to mark her 90th birthday, she confirmed that she once played quite the prank on her co-star.

Former Bake Off presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc were on the programme to wish their old co-star a Happy Birthday, and shared details of the trick she played. What, how and why? Perkins and Giedroyc were among several celebs taking part in the birthday tribute to Berry on Monday, 24 March and appeared in the studio alongside Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, who is also friends with the baking star. Opening up about the years they did Bake Off together, Perkins said Berry was "very naughty" and that she had given the show some "cheek and some sass and some naughtiness".

"The four of us had so much fun," agreed Giedroyc. She went on: "There were endless pranks, do you remember Mary? Involving Paul's car. I don't know what got into Mary's head this particular day, but there was a permanent marker on the table.

.." Perkins - who hosted Bake Off along with Giedroyc while Berry was a judge - said she thought Berry didn't know it was a permanent ink pen.

However, Giedroyc insisted she did. She went on: "In lunch break, Mary went down and Paul had some flash car outside. .
