A dog rescue charity in West Sussex is on a mission to find homes for a number of pooches who have so far received "no interest". The Clymping Dog Sanctuary, in Ford, near Arundel, is run entirely by volunteers and has been caring for unwanted and stray dogs since the 1950s. The sanctuary aims to provide a safe haven for dogs until they can be rehomed.

Unfortunately, some of these would-be canine companions have had no interest from potential new owners. Clymping said: "We have some dogs that haven’t had any interest, sadly, and we desperately want to help them get out of the sanctuary and into forever homes." Here are five down-on-their-luck doggies struggling to find a place to call their own.



Koda (Image: Clymping Dog Sanctuary) The first is Koda , an Anatolian shepherd who has had a "rough start in life." Koda was born in Turkey, where his ears were cut off by children before he was taken in by a rescue. After finding a home in the UK, he was returned to the sanctuary and has been there four months.

The sanctuary describes Koda as having a "huge heart to match his size," and said he is "incredibly affectionate" and "makes you smile every time you see him." He is looking for an active home where he can go through his adolescent phase and continue training. He could be rehomed with another large female breed and children aged 13 and above.
