I’ve had two jobs in my life that tend to be romanticized: pastry chef and food stylist. When I was a young pastry chef, I dreamed of breaking into the world of food styling, so I moved to LA from NYC to try to get into production work. Six years later, I’ve worked as a food stylist on cookbooks, commercials, and tons of cooking videos.
I love what I do because it marries technique with style, and I get to be creative with food on each project I work on. Whether I’m styling a tea party or a Thanksgiving table, there are “hacks” that even people at home could use to spruce up their favorite dishes.
