It marks the fourth location for the popular Inglewood-based bakery that prepares some of the region’s favorite classic desserts directly across the street from the longstanding Houston’s on Arroyo Parkway.
The shop expanded to Menifee and Torrance in 2024, and the West LA and Santa Clarita outposts are scheduled to open in 2025.Kenyatta Glover is the franchise owner for Sweet Red Peach Pasadena. Glover and her husband are longtime friends with founder Karolyn Plummer and decided to go into business together.
Plummer’s menu is the same at all locations in Inglewood, Menifee, and Torrance, with blue velvet, carrot, or German chocolate layer cakes, sweet potato pie, cupcakes, a creation called peach cobbler nachos, banana pudding cheesecake, or the classic dessert beloved by the Black community: 7-Up cake. The Pasadena Sweet Red Peach is the first one to offer soft serve.Sweet Red Peach Pasadena is open daily from 11 a.
