Tyler Sabapathy , an 18-year-old gymnast and a student at Temple University , fell to his death from a light pole during wild celebrations that ran rampant in Philadelphia streets. What transpired at the venue? The accident occurred when thousands of Eagles fans were congregating to celebrate the team's return to the Super Bowl.

The young fan, a Toronto native, was scaling a light pole on Market Street near 15th Street. It has been a tradition since the last few years of Eagles celebrations following big wins to scale a light pole. However, this time, he lost his footing and fell with his head striking the concrete sidewalk below.



Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene and transported him to Jefferson Hospital with severe brain injury. Despite efforts, Sabapathy was pronounced dead on Tuesday. The Official Statement Temple University, where Sabapathy was a first-year student majoring in exercise and sports science, issued a statement.

The school remembered him as an accomplished gymnast, with more than 120 provincial, regional, and international medals to his name. Footage showed Tyler climbing a light pole (ABC 6) "It is with deep sadness that we write to share.
