The Lone Star State has been the backdrop for PGA Tour action over the past few days, with one golfer set to claim the Houston Open's £1.3million prize. The largest city in Texas has been the venue for the event at various locations since its inaugural staging at the River Oaks Country Club in 1946.

It relocated to the refurbished Memorial Park Golf Course in November 2020, and with the Tour returning to its calendar-year format in 2024, the Houston Open was moved back to its spring slot in March of last year.
