During that losing streak, the Ducks have failed to score anything and so it was again for the Bucks side as they fell 2-0, failing to to trouble WGC who were in complete control, particularly in a second half. Manager Marc Weatherstone kept faith with the side that showed better form in the second half of the 2-0 loss at Leighton Town and was also able to welcome back defender Ryan Kirwan after a month-long injury. He took a place on the bench and would come on in the second period to make his 50th appearance in a Claret shirt.

Layne Eadie captained the side following the midweek departure of former skipper Brad Wadkins, back to Berkhamsted. Aylesbury began in lively fashion with Luqman Kassim cutting in dangerously and whipping in a shot after two minutes. Keeper Donny Green blocked it and defender Bradley Gothard completed the clearance.

A very scrappy and untidy period then followed, during which neither side could conjure up a decent opening. That all ended with the opening goal on 24 minutes. Matty Whichelow, who went on to have another fine game for WGC, expertly hooked through a good ball to reach Eadie and he struck a well placed cross-shot beyond Aylesbury keeper Jack Hopwood into the far corner.

Six minutes later, the feat was almost repeated. Again Whichelow produced a fine pass, this time into the path of the fast raiding Carlos Velasco, racing onto it from defence. His low effort goalwards was kept out by the legs of Hopwood.

The goal had really pepped up the Ci.
