As Miranda Lambert and hubby Brendan McLoughlin make merry as they celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary, the superstar, now 41, shared an adorable post on Instagram in honor of the couple’s significant milestone. People.com reported the country singer posted a black-and-white throwback photo from their nuptials featuring her and McLoughlin, 33, kissing where she wore a gown and sat on a horse alongside a more recent selfie of the awesome twosome smiling from ear to ear.
“6 years💍🩵. I’ll love you forever @brendanjmcloughlin ,” she captioned the snaps. Many may recall that Lambert met McLoughlin, a former NYPD cop from Staten Island who was assigned to the set of “Good Morning America” when she and her band the Pistol Annies were there to promote their Interstate Gospel album.
And realistically speaking, it was Lambert’s band mate Angaleena Presley who spotted him first, pointing out the “hot cop” to Lambert and mentioning that her team offered McLoughlin a ticket to her show. It was then that the three-time Grammy winning country music singer, songwriter and guitarist — who rose to fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of USA Network’s “Nashville Star,” and who just loves going back to basics — suggested they stay connected the old-fashioned way with letters like pen pals. McLoughlin laughed, but agreed.
And even though the couple hails from different parts of the country — McLoughlin from Staten Island, and Lambert from small-town Texa.
