Notably, Isha Ambani-led Reliance Retail has launched a separate app for Shein — the Shein India Fast Fashion app.
Reliance launches Shein app The move is being viewed as a departure from Reliance’s strategy of adding brands to its flagship fashion app Ajio, whose impressive catalogue boasts top brands like Superdry and Gap – as the Isha Ambani-led retailer competes with rivals such as Myntra from Walmart’s Flipkart. Citing source’s direct knowledge of Reliance’s launch plans, a Reuters reports said the Mukesh Ambani-led company launched the Shein app on Saturday morning, even as the firm did not announce the launch. “The fashion OG (original) is back,” reads a message displayed upon opening the app.
Shein app’s offerings include dresses priced as low as Rs 350. Deliveries limited to select cities Initially, deliveries will be limited to a few cities including New Delhi and Mumbai, but expanded nationwide soon, it said.
