A PGA Tour star, frustrated with his performance at the Valspar Championship , ended up smashing a sprinkler in a fit of rage. Adam Hadwin was so disappointed with his game that he didn't notice what was on the ground before he slammed his club into the turf. The Canadian golfer didn't make the cut after scoring 76 in the second round in Florida .

A double bogey on the 10th hole essentially dashed his hopes of making the cut. In his frustration, Hadwin stormed over to the rough and smashed his wedge into the grass. However, the 37 year old failed to notice a sprinkler located exactly where his club hit the ground .

A spectator who was filming Hadwin's reaction captured the astonishing moment. Water erupted from the ground, and Hadwin instantly realized his significant mistake. He attempted to tamp down the sprinkler with his club, but it was futile.

Onlookers could be heard laughing as Hadwin quickly calmed down and tried to turn off the sprinkler. His caddie, Joe Cruz, came over to assist, but neither of them could stop the water gushing all over the rough. Cruz then walked away, presumably to seek help.

Hadwin was heard repeatedly apologizing to officials, uttering "sorry" several times. He even asked in despair: "Will it go down?". He was seen desperately trying to push the sprinkler back down to stop the water spraying all over the fairway and rough.

tweet The rest of his comments were not audible. Hadwin tried to stand on the sprinkler, but that didn't help. He then squa.
