FOUR men are to stand trial accused of stealing shoes worth almost £1.5m in three alleged cross-border raids to Scotland. The English-based group's case called at the High Court in Glasgow where they face charges said to be connected to serious organised crime .

1 A trial has been set for December at the High Court in Glasgow Credit: Alamy Luke Boocock, 24, of Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire , is charged with forcing open a vehicle and stealing a quantity of training shoes valued at £133,662.17. It’s claimed he carried out the alleged theft on February 23 and 24, 2022 at Abington Motorway Services on the M74, near Biggar.



Boocock also faces claims he stole trainers worth £49,700 on March 10 and 11 that same year after allegedly breaking into a motor at Cairn Lodge Service Station, Douglas, Lanarkshire . Boocock is accused of a third alleged raid said to have been carried out on July 30 and 31 that year with co-accused John Bull, 39, Grant Bower, 32, and Thomas Law , 31. Court papers go on to claim the four accused “did carry out reconnaissance” at the premises in Kilmarnock between Jul.
