El Centro native and off-road racing rookie driver Brock Heger, along with navigator Max Eddy Jr., won in dominant fashion in the Side-by-Side (SSV) class in the 47th edition of the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia. The win brings RZR Factory Racing and Sébastien Loeb Racing back to the winner’s circle with its second consecutive win at the Dakar Rally .

For Heger, the win came just after he secured the 2024 SCORE Baja 1000 and the 2024 SCORE Series Championship. What makes it even more impressive is Dakar is now one of four other competitors to win in their rookie debut.
