BRUNSWICK, Ohio –- More than 40 student-and-teacher-led groups gathered at Brunswick Middle School Jan. 30 for the Brunswick City Schools’ fourth annual Excellence Showcase. The annual event showcases innovative and engaging learning opportunities across the district and all grade levels, as explore examples of excellence - from hands-on classroom lessons and early bird foreign language classes, to extracurricular programs that challenge students to grow.

Created in 2021, the Excellence Showcase highlights the achievements of Brunswick City School District students and staff, and has grown to become a celebration of not only the school district, but the entire community, according to Superintendent Jason Neidermeyer. “We always look for opportunities to connect with the community and to forge community relationships,” Neidermeyer said. “We hope this shows what is happening in our schools; rigorous curriculum and relevant experiences [for students] building relationships with teachers.



” He said while teachers are the engine behind many of the projects, the exhibits represent are created by a mix of student and teacher-led groups. “It is the whole gamut,” Neidermeyer said. Brunswick High School (BHS) Seniors Sam Haskell and Jonas Hinderer were among students from the BHS Senior Seminar presenting at the Excellence Showcase.
