The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2025 in association with FDCI held a fashion show titled 'The One and Only' at Le Méridien, Gurugram, to pay tribute to late fashion designer Rohit Bal. At the do, one could see many pictures and videos of the effervescent designer at display where he could be seen enjoying and celebrating life. The best part?63 prominent people, including actors Rahul Dev, Mugdha Godse, Eesha Gupta, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, fashion designer JJ Valaya, walked on the runway to celebrate the life and legacy of the late designer.
Wondering who the showstopper was? Well, it was none other than actor Sonam Kapoor, who wore an embellished ivory outfit by Bal. It's no secret that Sonam shared a great camaraderie with the designer and so when she walked the ramp, she was all teary-eyed, like many others in the room. I have been privileged to wear his clothes many times and to have him design clothes for me also many times. It feels wonderful to do probably his last show.” It's interesting how whenever someone spoke about the late designer, they mentioned about his vivacious energy.
Of course, he has been known in the industry for his body of work, but it's also his infectious demeanour that people remember and will continue to remember. Also, the testimony to the fact that Bal left a great legacy was that everyone present in big hall was a tad teary-ey.
