The UK version of The Traitors has come to an end for this year, but there are other tense series you can seek out if you need a regular dose of backstabbing TV. On Friday night, Leanne and Jake emerged as the victors of The Traitors following a tense four weeks of betrayals, twists and turns in the Scottish Highlands. Host Claudia Winkleman has now moved on to her next job as presenter of the daytime quiz show One Question on Channel 4 , but will be back later this year with a celebrity version of The Traitors that is sure to be must-see TV.

If you are already missing the missions, tense breakfasts and Traitors and Faithfuls round table debates however, here are five other gripping shows you can watch while you wait for the celebrity edition. The Traitors US BBC iPlayer, available now The American version of The Traitors is just as addictive as the UK one (and features more arguments and tears than our version, as the Americans take it all very much to heart), and is filmed at the same Highlands location and features many of the same props and missions. Scottish actor Alan Cumming is on hosting duties, and like Claudia he also dresses to impress in stunning ensembles that have included kilts, chic berets and even a cage skirt, fittingly for a mission when some of the players were hung up in giant cages.
