Super Bowl LIX is just around the corner, marking the climax of the 2024 NFL season. Last year, Las Vegas hosted the Super Bowl for the first time, with the Kansas City Chiefs defending their title at Allegiant Stadium in an overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers. This year, Kansas City are back for the championship game, having won 32-29 against Buffalo Bills at the NFL Conference Championships Finals on Sunday night.

Joining them is Philadelphia Eagles, who beat Washington Commanders 55-23 on the same night to secure their spot in the most exciting night of the NFL calendar. The Eagles and the Chiefs last played each other in the 2023 Super Bowl. The Chiefs took the victory in the end.



In 2024, they became two-time defending champions. Like the New England Patriots under Tom Brady, the Chiefs have won back-to-back championships with Patrick Mahomes as quarterback. The NFL will take centre stage in February.

So, where and when is it being held, and how can Brits tune in? This year, the championship game moves to The Big Easy, with New Orleans hosting for the 11th time in NFL history. Caesars Superdome, the home ground of the New Orleans Saints, will serve as the venue for Super Bowl LIX, hosting its eighth championship game - more than any other NFL stadium, reports the Mirror US . The Super Bowl is set to take place on Sunday, February 9, with the kick-off scheduled for 6:30pm ET - 11.
