Police are investigating after a brawl broke out outside Radcliffe FC's football ground this weekend, leaving five people injured. The incident took place on Colshaw Close East near to the Nueven Stadium at around 5pm on Saturday, January 25 following the match between Radcliffe FC and Hereford . Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that five people were injured and one man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
The police officer involved was “not seriously injured”. A video shared on social media shows a group of people running and crowding in a car park before several punches are thrown. It is believed that there was a large police presence along with at least one ambulance. Police are now carrying out further enquiries to establish if any other offences took place. A GMP spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a fight on Colshaw Close East, Radcliffe, at 5pm yesterday (Saturday).
