A pause in production due to last year’s strikes led to “Daredevil: Born Again” undergoing a major behind-the-scenes overall. Dario Scardapane (“The Punisher”) took over as showrunner, while “Loki” Season 2 helmers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead direct and the series was retooled to be directly connected to the original Netflix series – as opposed to initial plans for it to be a more standalone legal drama. That has resulted in familiar faces returning, familiar plot threads being picked up, and a darker and more action-oriented tone like the Netflix series.
