Netflix fans have found a new show that they are losing their minds over, as they find themselves binge-watching what they find to be an “addictive” thriller show. However, they aren’t watching for the reason fans usually get addicted to a new show on the streamer. Netflix subscribers are often surprising themselves as they find new “guilty pleasure” shows , and “must-see” series.

And while some shows now follow split schedules, forcing fans to return at a later date for more episodes, others still allow them to watch as much as they like in quick succession. One such show that is allowing fans to do that now is Departure, which lasted for three seasons before landing on Netflix in January. Now, fans have discovered it on Netflix and made it one of the top-watched shows of 2025–but not because of how much they are enjoying it. The conspiracy theory drama follows the mystery behind a missing plane and its passengers, but fans aren’t sure if it’s the best performance by Punjabi, Plummer, and others. Viewers have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

“Departure series on Netflix has some of the worst Irish accents I’ve heard in a while,” one person pointed out on X. “Am watching #Departure on #Netflix.
