Luke Bryan ’s critique during a recent American Idol audition stirred a wave of reactions from fans, some applauding his guidance.. and others not so much.

” Senger, dressed simply in jeans and an army green crew neck, shared a bit of his musical journey before starting his audition. “So I sing all over the place, playing gigs. I’m a musician for a living.

My dad was a guitar player and my mom is a singer. So yeah, fell in love with it from the get-go and me and my mom sang together from time to time,” he said. He launched into a cover of Keith Urban’s 2002 hit Somebody Like You, a performance that initially had Bryan stopping him with some firm feedback.

“Open your mouth a little bit,” Bryan said. “Slow it down so we can really hear you sing this thing.” That moment divided viewers on social media.

Some thought it was a rude move. “Why is Luke being so obnoxious interrupting this guy who’s great?” one user posted on X. Another added: “Would you tell Mumford & Sons to sing slower?? This guy is so much better than Luke.
