Jake Paul "learned a lot" during his short-lived stint with Disney. The 28-year-old social media star appeared in 'Bizaardvark' between 2016 and 2017 as online celebrity Dirk Mann, and though he was ultimately let go from the programme, Jake had a lot of "fun" and the experience taught him some lessons that have helped him over the ways. He told People magazine: "Man, it was just a fun time to be honest.
"I think it was a good kickstart to my career, because I was the first-ever influencer on TV. "I think that really set a lot of things into motion for me, and I learned a lot about acting and media and all that stuff." The 'Paul American' star abruptly left the show halfway into filming its second season, and Jake later admitted he had been fired as a result of a news story about complaints from his then-neighbours about his behaviour and general disturbance from his home.
He told The Hollywood Reporter a month after he left: “They were like, ‘Okay. We want to expedite this process of weaning you off the show.' “And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.
But it’s going to look like you guys fired me.’ And they were like, ‘We can say that we mutually parted ways and blah, blah, blah.’ And that’s the reality of the story.
