Emmerdale has been airing some suspicious scenes involving John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) as he attempts to conceal the murder of Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day). Last week, viewers saw Anthony meet his end at Caleb Miligan's (William Ash) depot after being revealed as a sexual abuser who had assaulted Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) in her childhood. Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), recognising the signs of Ruby's distress, confronted Anthony, urging him to turn himself into the police.

During their encounter, Aaron shared his own history of abuse at the hands of his father, who later died in prison. As Anthony feared a similar fate, he provoked Aaron into a physical altercation. Although Anthony was still alive when Aaron left, he was found dead upon Aaron's return with John Sugden.



As Aaron grappled with guilt, John took charge, removing Anthony's body from the scene. The following day, tensions rose as Aaron worried about what to do with Anthony's car, leading to an uncharacteristic outburst from John. On Monday (January 27), John continued to behave suspiciously, suggesting they dismantle Anthony's car to create the impression that he had left the village, a plan which Aaron was hesitant to agree with, reports Leeds Live.
