Alec Baldwin ’s new reality show isn’t shying away from the controversy that recently engulfed the actor’s life. In the first trailer for the 30 Rock star’s new TLC series, The Baldwins (premiering Feb. 23), his wife Hilaria Baldwin opens up about the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, whom Alec fatally shot in a tragic accident on the set of the film Rust in October 2021.

That includes sharing how the family managed following the fatal shooting of Hutchins. “A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria says as the camera pans over an aerial view of the Rust set.



“This is never something to forget, and we’re trying to parent through it.” Alec doesn’t comment directly on the shooting in the trailer. However, there is a glimpse of him appearing to break down in tears during an interview segment.

Later, he tells Hilaria that he isn’t sure he’d be able to cope without her support. “Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” he says. Involuntary manslaughter charges against Alex Baldwin were dropped Alec Baldwin was rehearsing a scene from Rust when the tragic shooting occurred more than three years ago.
