The British band recently concluded its five-show run in the country as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, performing in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Their final concert, held on Sunday night at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, drew a record-breaking crowd of 1,34,000 people, making it the largest ticketed concert in India’s history.
Coldplay concert records 1.34 Lakh footfall The band, led by Chris Martin, shared the milestone on X (formerly Twitter), surpassing the previous record by a staggering margin of over 60,000 attendees. Before Coldplay, the largest ticketed concerts in India were by Diljit Dosanjh and Justin Bieber, each drawing 50,000 fans.
While rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh claimed to have performed for 2 lakh fans in Haldia in 2020, the figure remains unverified.
